Job summary

Saab AB in the United States is seeking a Senior Staff Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems across cross-functional teams. The role focuses on safety, quality, cost, delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement.

You will lead complex engineering initiatives from concept through production, partnering with stakeholders to translate technical work into business value and scalable manufacturing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a master’s; or PhD with 3 years.
• Strong experience in manufacturing process development and optimization.
• Ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept through implementation and production.
• Proficiency with engineering documentation, data analysis, and standard manufacturing tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and influencing abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and align stakeholders with differing priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and improve manufacturing standards, procedures, work instructions, and practices.
• Develop testing, validation, and evaluation methods for new/modified processes.
• Track project performance and manage risks to maintain progress.
• Lead equipment selection, installation, qualification, and validation activities.
