Job summary

Amprius Technologies in Fremont, CA is hiring hands‑on Manufacturing Process Engineers to own select cell‑assembly station parameters and drive yield and throughput improvements. You will develop recipes, define process windows, and qualify changes as part of ramping pilot line equipment to production.

You will lead structured experiments, perform root‑cause analysis, and mentor technicians while partnering with suppliers and controls engineers for safer, higher‑quality lithium‑ion cells.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• Senior: 5+ years; Staff: 8+ years of process or manufacturing engineering in Li‑ion cell production.
• Hands‑on experience tuning and qualifying cell‑assembly equipment and processes.
• Proven yield or throughput improvements from data analysis through implementation.
• Proficient in DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and measurement system analysis (Gage R&R).

Responsibilities

• Own process parameters for defined cell‑assembly stations and develop recipes and process windows.
• Design and run structured experiments (DOE) to optimize yield and cycle time.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve first‑pass yield.
• Monitor OEE and bottlenecks, drive line balancing and changeover reductions.
• Write and maintain SOPs; train technicians and operators.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors and maintenance to resolve tool issues.
