Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a senior software engineering leader to drive the design, development and deployment of complex distributed systems. In this role you will partner with product, architecture and operations to shape technical strategy across multiple teams in a hybrid work environment (SF, Scottsdale, Chicago, New York).

You will mentor engineers, define scalable patterns, own long term health of features and systems, and lead initiatives to improve tooling, testing, and security while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant related experience.
• 9+ years in distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions.
• 8+ years with Java/Spring; Maven/Gradle.
• Experience delivering business-critical systems to the market.
• Background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Shape engineering approaches with product, architecture and other teams.
• Own the technical strategy for broad or complex requirements.
• Responsible for department-wide design patterns and code approaches.
• Review and validate code output from multiple teams.
• Drive architecture, design, prototyping and implementation.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional projects.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling and processes.
