Job summary

Ping Identity, a leader in secure digital experiences, seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Data Platform team. You will define and implement AI agent governance capabilities, ensure secure integration of AI agents and enterprise resources, and collaborate across engineering, security, and product teams to scale governance across platforms.

You will prototype, adopt new frameworks, and drive observability, performance, and secure design while mentoring engineers and shaping the future

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8-10+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience building scalable, distributed, and resilient applications.
• Strong experience with Gradle for dependency management and build automation.
• Good understanding of performance profiling, JVM tuning, memory management, and optimization.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI agent governance capabilities across AI platforms.
• Prototype and iterate on AI agent capabilities with new frameworks and features.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery with modular design and observability.
• Advance Identity Governance capabilities with SoD workflows and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Support and customer-facing teams to resolve issues and improve product reliability.
• Monitor AI agent performance, usage, and security across platforms.
• Implement secure AI solutions using authentication, authorization, and least-privilege.
• Document architecture, governance processes, and engineering best practices for AI agents.
