Job summary

Ping Identity Corporation is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Data Platform team to design, implement, and govern AI agent governance capabilities. You will drive lifecycle governance, security, and observability across AI platforms and enterprise resources.

Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and product teams to shape the future of AI adoption. You will lead efforts on agent discovery, policy enforcement, and secure integration, while prototyping new frameworks and ensuring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years in data engineering software roles with hands-on data ingestion, prep, processing, and scalable pipelines (Spark/Beam/Flink).
Strong data modeling and scalable solution design for enterprise apps.
Experience with BigQuery, SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch.
Experience designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting analytical queries.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and large-scale data processing.
Knowledge of structured and unstructured data management.
Understanding of distributed data systems and data integration patterns.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain AI agent governance capabilities across AI platforms.
Prototype and iterate on AI agent capabilities, evaluating new frameworks and practices.
Leverage AI coding assistants and tools to accelerate delivery with clear requirements and modular design.
Evolve Identity Governance capabilities including certifications and SoD workflows.
Collaborate with Support and customer teams to troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.
Monitor AI agent performance, usage, health, and security across platforms.
Implement secure AI solutions using authentication and least-privilege access.
Contribute to observability with logging, metrics, and compliance for AI agents.
Evaluate emerging AI agent platforms and governance technologies.
Document architecture, governance processes, and engineering best practices.
