Job summary

Epiq Solutions in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Senior Staff Digital Design (FPGA) Engineer to design, implement, and optimize FPGA solutions critical to our SDR products and overall performance.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams, mentor junior staff, and develop verification environments while driving architectural decisions and ensuring project milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in EE/CE/CS.
• 7+ years of FPGA design experience.
• Experience with AMD FPGAs and SoCs (Artix, Kintex, Zynq MPSoC, Versal).
• Proficient with HDL-based design, synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex FPGA designs from requirements through verification.
• Optimize FPGA designs for performance, area, power, and cost.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on board interfaces and integration.
• Develop and maintain FPGA design documentation and test plans.
• Mentor junior staff and promote RTL best practices.
• Develop verification environments using self-checking testbenches.
• Interface with customers to gather requirements and provide technical support.
