Epiq Solutions in Rolling Meadows, IL, is seeking a Senior Staff Digital Design (FPGA) Engineer to design, implement, and optimize FPGA solutions for our SDR products.

The role requires deep HDL expertise, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and mentorship of junior staff; you will work on state-of-the-art AMD FPGA platforms and verify designs using advanced methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 7+ years of FPGA design and development experience.
• Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog and HDL-based design.
• Experience with AMD FPGAs and Vivado/Vitis toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex FPGA designs from requirements to RTL and verification.
• Optimize designs for performance, area, power, and cost.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers on interfaces.
• Develop FPGA verification environments and testbenches.
• Document designs, tests, and user guides; participate in code reviews.
• Mentor junior staff on FPGA techniques and standards.
