Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, ID, seeks a Senior/Staff Engineer for Global Environmental Technology to lead environmental compliance, contaminants evaluation, and risk management across Micron's global manufacturing sites.

This role applies AI, advanced analytics, and digital tools to enhance environmental data analysis, regulatory readiness, and cross-functional collaboration with EHSS, Facilities, Manufacturing, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in environmental engineering, environmental compliance, environmental technology, wastewater treatment or related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills with ability to interpret complex environmental data.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across global, multi-functional teams and influence technical decisions.

Responsibilities

Evaluate emerging contaminants, environmental technologies, and compliance issues affecting Micron operations.
Analyze environmental monitoring results, source characterization data, pilot studies, and treatment technology performance to support decisions.
Develop technical assessments, recommendations, and reports related to environmental treatment systems and regulatory requirements.
Monitor evolving environmental regulations and support implementation strategies across Micron's global manufacturing sites.
Partner with EHSS, Facilities, Manufacturing, Technology Development, and Legal teams to resolve environmental compliance and technology challenges.
Leverage AI, advanced analytics, and digital tools to improve environmental data management and decision-making.
Support environmental risk management initiatives through data-driven evaluations and recommendations.
Contribute to standardized processes, tools, and methodologies for program consistency.
