Job summary

Micron Technology Boise is seeking a Staff/Senior Emission Analyst to lead emissions data collection at Micron’s R&D and manufacturing sites globally using FTIR and other analytical technologies. You will collaborate with instrument suppliers, site environmental teams, and global labs to measure, report, and optimize emissions data toward net-zero goals.

You will develop SOPs, perform data analysis, and apply AI to accelerate improvements, while mentoring a team of analysts and technologists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent.
• At least 5 years with FTIR and other analytical instruments.
• Experience in gas phase or greenhouse gas measurement preferred.
• Strong communication, report writing, and data analytics skills.
• Experience with AI, data analytics and automation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead actual emissions measurement (process greenhouse gases) activities.
• Calibrate FTIR and other analytics pre-measurement procedures.
• Coordinate with site manufacturing for process recipes and dilution flow.
• Analyze data and write measurement reports per international standards.
• Apply AI and data analysis to derive insights to reduce emissions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot FTIR and analytical instruments with suppliers.
