Job summary

Robinhood in New York City or Menlo Park seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure, to unify DevX, TestX, Backend Platform, and Mobile Platform under one technical vision. You will own Bazel-based build infrastructure and drive rapid, reliable code delivery across languages.

You will champion AI-driven development, scale CI/CD pipelines, and raise engineering velocity while aligning with the company’s mission. In-person work is expected at least 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with senior-level impact
• Deep expertise with Bazel and monorepo build systems
• Experience building and operating CI/CD at massive scale
• Fluency in Go and/or Python; familiarity with TS/Swift/Android a plus
• Strong background with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud infra
• Experience with test infrastructure and developer environments
• Interest in agentic AI systems and automated code review
• Leadership in unifying large engineering orgs around a shared vision

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and roadmap for DevX, TestX, Backend Platform, and Mobile Platform
• Lead and evolve Bazel-based monorepo build infrastructure
• Scale CI/CD pipelines for thousands of daily builds
• Drive the TestX vision and testing environments
• Champion AI integration across the SDLC to boost developer velocity
• Set technical standards for core runtimes, libraries, IDE tooling
• Partner with leadership to execute a long-term infrastructure roadmap
