Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer for Site Reliability in Westminster, CO. This hybrid role combines on-site collaboration three days per week with advanced cloud operations across commercial and government AWS accounts.

You will lead reliability initiatives, design scalable CI/CD pipelines, and automate infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS services while mentoring teams and shaping production readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
8+ years of experience in DevOps/Platform/SRE or cloud operations.
Experience owning and improving production systems in cloud environments.
Strong proficiency with AWS in multi-account environments.
Strong proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
US citizenship and ability to obtain US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability engineering efforts for the Vantor Hub platform and related infrastructure services.
Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for software and infrastructure delivery.
Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS services.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, networking, performance, and production issues.
Improve service availability, scalability, and operational readiness across environments.
Design highly available, observable, and secure infrastructure for commercial and government AWS accounts.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment safety, observability, and incident response.
Participate in a team on-call rotation roughly every twelve weeks.
Leverage AI development tools to accelerate engineering workflows with validation and security in mind.
Contribute to shared engineering standards for responsible AI-assisted development.
