Job summary

PAR Technology is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and support our AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based platform. You will focus on reliability, scalability, security, observability, and deployment automation across production environments.

You will build infrastructure with OpenTofu and Terraform, operate EKS workloads, and manage GitOps deployments with Argo CD and Helm. Strong Python scripting and Datadog observability are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles in cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience with production systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
• IaC experience with OpenTofu and Terraform.
• GitOps workflows using Argo CD and Helm.
• Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, and MQ services.
• Observability with Datadog or equivalent.
• Solid cloud networking knowledge (VPC, subnets, DNS, TLS).

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and support AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Operate Kubernetes workloads on Amazon EKS and manage deployments with GitOps.
• Develop automation tooling in Python and scripting languages.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and release automation for reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Collaborate with security teams to improve cloud security standards.
