Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Staff Product Marketing Engineer to advocate for developers, translate technical insights into compelling positioning, and work directly with Core and SDK teams. You’ll drive guidance, demos, and launch content that accelerates adoption across languages and tooling.

You will partner with Core and SDK engineers to understand the roadmap, craft evidence-based messaging, and own priority integrations and customer-facing outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in hands-on technical roles across software engineering, architecture, and developer relations.
• Proven track record building or supporting developer-facing platforms, SDKs, APIs, frameworks, or infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in multiple backend languages (Python, TypeScript, Go, Java) and quick learning of new SDKs.
• Knowledge of APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, testing, deployment, and observability.
• Ability to compare approaches, recommend patterns, and provide reference implementations.
• Excellent technical writing to translate code into trusted guidance.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with developers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Temporal’s core primitives, SDKs, APIs, Nexus, and tooling.
• Follow the developer journey from code samples to production and identify adoption blockers.
• Build demos, sample apps, tutorials, and launch content with working code for credibility.
• Own positioning and messaging for Core, SDK, API, Nexus initiatives with the Core Products Director.
• Collaborate with engineers to align roadmap and prepare for upcoming launches.
• Own the technical story for developer-tool integrations with examples and guidance.
• Test documentation, onboarding, and workflows; provide concrete recommendations for teams.
• Support priority deals and partner conversations with hands-on technical input.
• Conduct customer interviews for Core and SDK case studies and extract learnings.
• Explore AI patterns or new integrations as priorities shift.
