Slate is seeking a Staff Designer to shape UX for mobile, web configurator, and ownership tools. You will drive design strategy, define scalable interaction patterns, and raise the craft level across the team.

The role requires a strong portfolio across mobile, web, and complex flows, plus 10+ years in product design and hands-on system-building experience. You will work with cross-functional partners to deliver impactful experiences.

Qualifications

10+ years of product design experience with senior IC/Staff level.
Portfolio showing interaction design craft across mobile, web, and multi-step flows.
Proven experience building or evolving design systems: architecture, tokens, and governance.
Track record of raising design quality through mentorship, critique, and process improvements.
Comfort operating in a GenAI-enabled SDLC where AI accelerates design/engineering work.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end UX for multiple product areas from concept to QA.
Drive UX strategy and translate customer needs into design directions.
Define interactions across mobile, web configurator, and ownership tools.
Articulate decisions with data, prototypes, and clear rationale.
Set quality bar and provide actionable feedback to raise craft levels.
Collaborate with engineering to ensure production-ready token and component specs.
