Job summary

Anthropic in San Francisco seeks a Senior Design Systems Designer to shape the language of our UI across Claude products. You will collaborate closely with engineers and researchers, prototype rapidly, and balance simplicity with craft while shipping in a fast-moving environment.

You bring 8+ years of product design experience, deep craft in visual and interaction design, and hands-on work with design systems, tokens, theming, and accessible UI.

Qualifications

• Strong visual and interaction craft.
• Experience building or working on a design system.
• Experience with design tokens, theming and accessibility standards.
• Fluency in design tools and prototyping from idea to code.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the design system from foundations to components like menus and chat UI.
• Develop the expressive layer as a system, including motion and icons.
• Make the system legible to both humans and Claude's tooling.
• Collaborate with product teams to apply the system and close gaps.
• Prototype in code and ship changes in the design-system package.
