Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a System Designer to bring coherence to complex, multi-surface software experiences across its product portfolio. You will define interaction frameworks, information architecture, and design systems that scale across tools, platforms, and customer use cases.

You will translate design systems into production-ready components and AI-consumable standards, ensuring accessibility and strong collaboration with engineering.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product design, UX design or design systems work.
• Strong experience building and scaling platform-level design systems across multiple products or tools.
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills.
• Strong understanding of design system architecture, accessibility, and inclusive design.
• Experience translating design systems into production code, reusable components, and AI-consumable standards.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to design for complex enterprise ecosystems.
• Experience partnering closely with engineering.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the foundational design language for a platform-level build system.
• Build a platform-level design system that supports multiple products and tools.
• Establish scalable design system assets across design and code.
• Define agent-driven design system patterns for AI agents and coding tools.
• Create code-based standards, reusable components, and implementation guidance for engineers and AI tools.
• Establish and maintain accessibility standards across components, patterns, and platforms.
• Validate the design system across real products and workflows.
• Support a multi-platform ecosystem across web, in-vehicle interfaces, devices, and enterprise tools.
• Define patterns for multiple interaction models (click, touch, voice, agent-driven).
• Maintain high visual design, brand, usability, accessibility, and consistency.
• Create clear documentation for designers, engineers, customers, and AI-assisted workflows.
