Job summary

10x Genomics is hiring a Staff Data Scientist to own sales analytics within the Business Insights & Analytics team. You’ll lead ML-based forecasting, territory performance, and early-warning signals across global regions from Snowflake to AWS.

You will transform legacy rules into a production ML pipeline, design metrics for distributor markets, and partner with Product/Engineering to collect telemetry for better predictability of expansion and churn.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in statistics, engineering, mathematics, CS, data science, or MBA with technical focus.
• 7+ years of analytics solving business problems with Python or R and SQL.
• Proven production ML deployment experience for commercial or operational use.
• Strong SQL and Python/R proficiency for data manipulation and modeling.
• Deep knowledge of Salesforce, quota/territory processes, and B2B SaaS.
• Advanced data visualization skills with Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ML-based sales forecasting models from feature engineering to deployment.
• Build churn, risk, and expansion models with pipeline monitoring.
• Define evaluation frameworks and alert stakeholders on model drift.
• Develop territory performance frameworks across regions (APAC/EMEA) and markets.
• Analyze quota attainment, territory performance, and account penetration by geography and product line.
• Collaborate with Product and Software Engineering to define telemetry needs.
• Mentor junior analysts and raise the technical bar.
