Job summary

10x Genomics is hiring a Staff Data Scientist to own the sales analytics function within our Business Insights & Analytics team, reporting to the Head of BI&A. This is a new headcount to deepen ML capabilities and scale globally.

You will rebuild our sales forecasting model, redesign territory performance, and develop early-warning signal models to surface churn risk and expansion opportunities before they surface to field teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field or MBA with technical focus.
• 7+ years of analytics experience solving business problems using Python/R and SQL.
• Production ML experience deploying models to solve commercial or operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of ML-based sales forecasting models from feature engineering in Snowflake to deployment in AWS.
• Build pipeline health and churn risk models for forward-looking sales insights.
• Define model evaluation frameworks and monitor performance; alert on drift.
• Design performance frameworks for distributor-led markets (APAC/EMEA) with proxy metrics.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on quota attainment, territory performance, and account penetration.
• Develop price elasticity models and translate into pricing guardrails integrated into CPQ workflows.
• Build early-warning models detecting churn risk, stalled pipeline, and expansion readiness.
• Mentor junior analysts and communicate findings in plain language.
