Nextiva is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to accelerate AI initiatives and deliver exceptional customer experiences through a unified, AI-powered platform. You will own end-to-end engineering across NextIQ capabilities, collaborating with internal teams and external partners while staying deeply hands-on with development.

7–10+ years of software engineering experience with production delivery.
Strong hands-on Python engineering skills.
Experience designing distributed systems.
Proven end-to-end ownership of software modules.
Ability to remain hands-on at Staff Engineer level.
Experience contributing to architecture discussions and technical solutioning.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and launch new AI-focused engineering capabilities.
Own engineering initiatives end to end, from solutioning and architecture to implementation and launch.
Remain deeply hands-on with software development and contribute production code.
Build solutions using Python and apply distributed-systems engineering principles.
Participate in system design, architecture, and solutioning discussions with engineering teams.
Collaborate with Google Gemini team to integrate NextIQ capabilities.
