Job summary

Nextiva is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to accelerate AI initiatives across a unified platform. You will design, build, and launch AI-focused capabilities with deep hands-on coding in Python, tackling distributed system challenges and end-to-end ownership from concept through release.

Work closely with Google Gemini and internal Nextiva teams to extend NextIQ across Nextiva products such as NextOS, while maintaining practical engineering rigor and collaboration with external partners.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong Python engineering skills
• Experience designing and building distributed systems
• Ownership of software modules end to end
• Ability to remain hands-on with coding at Staff Engineer level
• Collaborative with internal teams and external partners

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and launch AI-focused engineering capabilities and modules.
• Own engineering initiatives end to end from solutioning to launch.
• Remain hands-on with production code and coding tasks.
• Contribute to system design, architecture, and solutioning discussions.
• Collaborate with Google Gemini to bring NextIQ capabilities into Gemini and partner environments.
• Partner with US-based teams to extend NextIQ across the Nextiva ecosystem.
