Medical Edge in Dover, DE is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for a full-time permanent role. The position handles insurance accounts receivable, billing, collections, and denial management within a collaborative healthcare environment.

You will supervise a team, mentor staff, and work with physician practices and revenue cycle leadership to optimize reimbursement performance. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in patient accounting, third-party reimbursement, or revenue cycle.
• At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing, collections, and denial management.
• Epic HB/PB experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Direct and coordinate insurance accounts receivable operations.
• Supervise billing, collections, account follow-up, and reimbursements.
• Monitor AR performance and drive process improvements.
• Lead and mentor team members through coaching and performance management.
• Collaborate with physician practices, revenue cycle leadership, and departments.
• Analyze reports, identify denial trends and improve reimbursement performance.
• Ensure compliance with payer regulations and systems usage.
