Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Navision ERP experience preferred.
• 5–7 years’ experience in financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, taxation, and full cycle G/L accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Must be flexible, self-starter, change-oriented, self-motivated team player.
• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for month-end close across multiple entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules and other analyses.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Reconciles numerous Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile bank activity and complete month-end cash reconciliations.
• Assist with revenue invoicing (rail billing) with selected business units.
• Assist with payroll functions for selected entities.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
• Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
• Monitor and support taxation requirements.
• Prepare internal and external audit schedules.
• Evaluate and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments, and future revenues.
• Collect and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.
