Job summary

ORW | 4WP is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting team at our corporate office in Gardena, CA. You will independently manage assigned accounting functions, analyze financial transactions, evaluate complex accounting matters, and take ownership of month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years progressive accounting experience including general ledger and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience independently managing accounting responsibilities and resolving complex issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and financial analysis.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned general ledger accounts and accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance.
• Evaluate financial transactions and determine proper accounting treatment, including accruals and adjustments.
• Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Own month-end and year-end closing activities, analyze balances, and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, identify variances and trends, and provide recommendations to management.
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues applying professional judgment.
• Collaborate across departments to improve financial accuracy and controls.
• Support internal and external audits with schedules and reconciliations.
• Contribute to process improvements in inventory and fixed asset accounting.
