Job summary

ORW | 4WP is seeking a strategic Controller to lead accounting operations at the Gardena corporate office. You will supervise GL, payroll, AR/AP, and inventory, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting. Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, cash flow, and audits.

You’ll drive internal controls, multi-location accounting, and ERP optimization while guiding a team through performance evaluations and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, assets, inventory.
• Manage month-end and year-end close and ensure accurate reporting.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements per U.S. GAAP.
• Develop and monitor internal controls, policies, and workflows.
• Oversee inventory accounting across retail and distribution.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow, and variance analysis.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support decisions.
• Monitor cash management and support banking activities.
• Ensure tax compliance and coordinate with tax advisors.
• Oversee multi-location accounting and team development.
• Support ERP implementations and financial system optimization.
• Collaborate with other departments on financial planning.
