We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position plays a critical role in managing core financial functions and supporting the organization with high-level accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, strong QuickBooks expertise, and proven experience handling payroll, invoicing, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process payroll for all employees
• Prepare and issue client invoices based on contracts and project terms.
• Process employee expense reports and ensure policy compliance.
• Utilize QuickBooks to document and process:
• Vendor bills and payments
• Client payments and receivables
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Report and file sales taxes in accordance with relevant state and local regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Prepare and present various financial and operational reports to management.
• Collaborate with leadership to address accounting-related issues and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Filing and archive management for vendor and customer invoices and employee timesheets
• Maintain strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience required, with managerial accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
