Description

TOA is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to provide accounting, reporting, and analysis of activity associated with our operations and growth initiatives. The role involves duties related to newly formed or to-be formed entities and includes work on month-end close functions and reporting. Various ad hoc analyses may be requested. This position reports directly to the controller and collaborates closely with finance team members, revenue cycle, operations, and other organizational parts.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the controller and finance team to assess and report performance, understanding revenue cycle operations.
  • Prepare timely financial statements and reconciliation workpapers in a multi-company environment.
  • Develop, test, and deliver ad hoc reports.
  • Provide variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with outside companies and TOA divisions for payment processing.
  • Assist in developing financial data collection and measurement tools for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze monthly operating reports and collaborate with stakeholders for actionable insights.
  • Create budgets for capital expenditures and operational areas like marketing.
  • Assist with annual audits.
  • Identify and recommend improvements for accounting processes.
  • Train and review work of staff accountants.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience with standard accounting tasks, report creation, and effective communication skills, with the ability to work with various organizational levels and external vendors. Specific qualifications include:

  • At least five years of progressive accounting/finance experience demonstrating accounting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in healthcare industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Experience with Great Plains Accounting software; NextGen preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Tableau experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and interact well with staff.
  • Independent, accurate, and timely task completion.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including presentations and board materials.
  • Knowledge of intercompany transactions.
