Job summary

LHH in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a large manufacturing/distribution firm. The role focuses on global month-end close reporting and GAAP-compliant financial statements, working closely with the accounting department.

The position offers a permanent role with a salary of $100,000 to $125,000 plus bonus, benefits, and PTO. Key duties include consolidations for global entities, general ledger entries, audits with external firms, and implementing new accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; CPA license or progress towards it highly preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience; public/private background preferred.
• Extensive month-end close experience with reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.).
• ERP experience; Oracle, SAP or JDE.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
• Analysis and explanation of variances.

The company is a top supplier in their industry and looking for a strong Accounting Professional to work closely within their accounting department in the preparation of global month-end close reporting.
