Job summary

A reputable roofing company in Florence, Kentucky, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support financial operations, including tax compliance and treasury activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of accounting experience, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounting experience.
• Experience processing wires, ACH, and EFT transactions.
• Experienced in bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and cash management.
• GAAP knowledge helpful.
• Experience with AP/AR management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Process and manage banking transactions (domestic and international).
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review Financial Statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
• Maintain internal controls over cash disbursements and receipts.
• Prepare and file Commercial Activity Tax returns.
• Work knowledge of multi-state sales and use taxes.
• Support external audits and provide required documentation.
• Lead adoption of AI tools to enhance productivity.

Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8AM to 5PM; Full Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support daily operations, financial reporting, tax compliance and treasury activities. Experience with Commercial Activity Tax and Sales Tax is strongly preferred. Treasury Management/Banking experience (Wires, ACH, EFT) is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Process and manage banking transactions (domestic and international).
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review Financial Statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
• Maintain internal controls over cash disbursements and receipts.
• Prepare and file Commercial Activity Tax returns.
• Working knowledge of multi-state sales and use taxes.
• Support external audits and provide required documentation.
• Spearhead the utilization/implementation of AI to enhance productivity.
