Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer 2 to build and operate resilient cloud platforms powering Lattice. You’ll work with platform engineers, product teams, and field operators to identify reliability risks, respond to incidents, and improve operational excellence.

This hands‑on role emphasizes shared tooling, scalable systems, and collaboration across teams to deliver reliable, secure systems for national security applications.

Qualifications

• 2‑4 years of engineering experience including 2+ years in SRE or production operations
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting Kubernetes in production
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, Rust, or Java to build tooling
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC (Terraform)
• Ability to diagnose distributed systems across stack and collaborate on fixes
• Strong incident management and communication skills
• U.S. Person with ability to obtain active U.S. Secret clearance? (as per role)

Responsibilities

• Build and improve monitoring, observability, and alerting systems across the Lattice platform
• Participate in on‑call rotations and coordinate incident response with owning teams
• Contribute to blameless postmortems and drive systemic improvements
• Develop shared reliability tooling and automation to reduce toil
• Collaborate with service owners on Kubernetes patching and maintenance plans
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets
• Work with teams on resilience patterns like graceful degradation and circuit breakers
• Assist with capacity planning and performance testing for growth
• Create runbooks, docs, and training for production operations
• Improve deployment safety with progressive rollouts and automated testing
• Incorporate security controls for production environments handling defense data
