Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5 years of applied experience.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, toil reduction and SRE best practices.
• Experience with enterprise-authorized AI capabilities.
• Ability to set team practices for safe AI usage in operations.
• Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/Java/.NET).
• Experience with observability and telemetry tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk).
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Experience troubleshooting networking technologies and issues.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs for correctness, security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with bold problem solving.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate reliability design and decisioning, validating outputs.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews peers’ code, identifying opportunities to automate remediation.
• Demonstrates expert knowledge to solve bottlenecks in key domains.
• Acts as main incident contact and resolves issues quickly to avoid losses.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review.
• Applies SDLC toolchain and AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
• Documents and shares knowledge within the organization.
• Leads reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across SDLC/toolchain.
• Contributes to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion and respect.
