Job summary

Canonical is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a globally remote role. You will design and operate OpenStack, Kubernetes, and storage platforms, applying Python-based software engineering to automation and devsecops across bare metal to cloud environments.

You will work on an open source stack with a focus on reliability, automation, and performance, joining a distributed team with periodic in-person sprints and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with Linux networking and storage.
• Python software development expertise.
• Operational experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice per year (up to two weeks).

Responsibilities

• Engineer fluent in Python to support OpenStack, Kubernetes, and storage operations.
• Architect and run OpenStack, Kubernetes and software-defined storage.
• Enable devsecops for applications on infrastructure.
• Operate in a high-pressure environment with mission-critical services for global customers.
