Job summary
Canonical, a pioneering open source software company, is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. You will work on next-gen operations at scale using Python infra-as-code, spanning bare metal to containers and applications. You will help run OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage, applying devsecops practices.
The role is remote globally, with occasional in-person team sprints. Expect to learn the full stack, from kernel networking to serverless, and to collaborate with global
Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science is required.
- Experience with Linux networking and storage is required.
- Python software development expertise is essential.
- Operational experience in a production environment is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability are valued.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long.
