Job summary

Canonical is hiring a Senior Site Reliability / Gitops Engineer for a fully remote role. You will drive automation and IaC across private and public clouds, collaborating with global teams to improve our core services and observability tooling.

You will contribute to open-source projects, submit bug reports and pull requests, and mentor peers while maintaining time-critical escalations and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or greater, preferably in computer science or related field.
Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration systems.
Hands-on Linux administration and networking experience.
Proven exposure to manage and deploy cloud infrastructure with code.
Fluent in English via email, chat, video or voice calls and in-person.

Responsibilities

Drive automation and GitOps in your team as an embedded tech lead.
Collaborate with IS architect to align solutions with architecture vision.
Design services that IS can offer as products.
Develop IaC to increase automation and improve IaC processes.
