Cribl Inc is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help unlock the value of observability data across our cloud platforms. You will work with a distributed team to design, deploy, and operate reliable systems, driving improvements in reliability, resilience, and observability.

We value engineers who contribute from conception to production, embrace blameless incident response, and have strong Linux and JavaScript/Node.js/TypeScript skills.

Qualifications

• Design, implement, and operate observability systems for complex cloud platforms.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container/orchestration tech.
• Familiarity with APM, Observability tools (New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana/Kibana, Sentry).
• Extensive experience with enterprise-scale CD environments.
• Development in JavaScript/Node.js/TypeScript on Linux/Mac.
• Experience with incident response in a blameless environment.
• Background in Linux systems engineering.
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud/applications.
• Strong opinions on reliability, SLOs, and business metrics.

Responsibilities

• Engage with teams to improve service delivery and reliability across the lifecycle.
• Monitor production systems focusing on availability, latency, and health.
• Investigate errors and drive the team toward operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product/platform teams to evolve systems for reliability.
• Identify toil and push for automation and creative improvements.
• Must be available for stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.
