Job summary

Cribl is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our efforts in building scalable, observable cloud platforms. You will work with a distributed team to design, deploy, and operate reliable telemetry services, embracing automation and blameless incident response.

You will contribute to engineering of Cribl products, leverage Terraform and cloud SDKs, and help ensure system health across AWS and Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and operating observability systems for complex cloud-based platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools is preferred.
• Strong background in Linux systems engineering and incident response.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration is beneficial.
• Experience with APM/observability tools like Grafana, New Relic, CloudWatch, or Splunk.
• Familiarity with on-call and blameless postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Engage with teams to improve service delivery and reliability across lifecycle.
• Measure and monitor production systems focusing on availability, latency, and health.
• Identify causes of errors and drive teams toward reliability and observability improvements.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to evolve systems for scale and resilience.
• Reduce toil through automation and innovative tooling.
• Be prepared for stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.
