Job summary

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a senior software engineer to design and develop software and web applications using Python and Bash, and to lead container orchestration with Kubernetes and AWS ECS.

You will administer AWS cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD with Jenkins and CodeDeploy, manage monitoring with Grafana, and work on large-scale distributed systems while mentoring junior engineers. Position is 100% remote.

Qualifications

Seven years of experience developing software and web applications using Python and Bash scripting.
Experience administering AWS cloud infrastructure and managed services.
Experience with Grafana for metrics collection and visualization.
Experience performing Linux systems administration.
Experience with cloud-native networking components (HAProxy, Nginx) and load balancing.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of new software and web apps using Python and Bash.
Manage container orchestration with Kubernetes and AWS ECS.
Administer AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Code Deploy.
Design and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems and monitoring with Grafana.
