Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking Site Reliability Engineers to ensure availability, reliability, and performance of critical customer-facing microservices powering eCommerce channels. The role balances feature velocity with reliability using SRE principles, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.

On-site position in Springfield, MO. The team focuses on observability, automation, and resilience, coordinating with global teams and Jira to manage incidents and deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SRE, software engineering, or production operations experience.
• Experience defining and measuring SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
• Strong knowledge of observability platforms, metrics, logs, and traces.

Responsibilities

• Define and own SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for critical microservices.
• Design and maintain observability platforms with real-time telemetry.
• Lead incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Track toil, automate repetitive tasks, and reduce MTTR via runbooks and automation.
• Collaborate with product/engineering teams and Scrum teams for reliability improvements.
