Job summary

FYUL is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join Platform Infrastructure in Barcelona or remote. You’ll architect and lead large-scale automation, improve reliability and costs, and mentor junior SREs.

The role balances hands-on work with technical leadership across Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, CI/CD, and observability tooling. You’ll drive automation, implement GitOps with ArgoCD, manage multi-account AWS environments, and contribute to incident response and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Solid Linux systems administration background.
• Strong Python scripting.
• Extensive AWS knowledge (EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3, SQS).
• Hands-on Kubernetes (EKS) production experience, Helm, CNI, ECR.

Responsibilities

• Architect & manage highly available, secure infra across AWS accounts.
• Design/operate AWS EKS clusters and networking, storage, scaling for containers.
• Own core platform services: networking, Kubernetes, DBs, messaging.
• Drive Terraform/Terragrunt and GitOps across teams.
• Lead automation to minimize manual toil and ensure repeatability.
• Lead incident response and write runbooks/postmortems.
