WPP Media is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own production stability and observability for a mission-critical, global campaign governance platform on Google Cloud Platform. You will investigate production issues, implement minor Python fixes, and drive root-cause analysis to improve system reliability.

This role blends hands-on SRE work with squad leadership and cross-functional collaboration. You will shape observability strategy, lead incident response, and partner with engineering

Qualifications

• 7+ years in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or infra roles.
• Experience operating production systems at scale on GCP.
• Strong Python proficiency for fixes in production code.

Responsibilities

• Own production stability, observability, and system health for a global campaign governance platform on GCP.
• Define observability strategies using GCP tools, Prometheus, and SLIs/SLOs.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Diagnose and resolve complex incidents across app, DB, infra, and network layers.
• Read, debug, and patch production Python code as needed.
• Monitor runbooks, automation, and reduce operational toil.
• Mentor the L2+ support squad and coordinate with Product/QA teams.
