Job summary

WPP Media is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to own production stability and observability for a global campaign governance platform on Google Cloud Platform. You will investigate incidents, implement fixes in Python, and lead RCA processes, working with the EMEA Engineering Tech Lead and cross-functional partners.

The role blends hands-on SRE with squad leadership, defining where observability goes and shaping the future support squad for a product used across global campaigns.

Qualifications

• Advanced education in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years in site reliability, DevOps, or infra roles.
• Experience operating production systems at scale on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Own production stability, observability, and health for a mission-critical platform on GCP.
• Lead incident response, RCAs, and remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Read, debug, and patch Python production code as needed.
• Define observability strategy using GCP tools, Prometheus, and SLIs/SLAs.
• Mentor the L2+ support squad and coordinate with Product/QA teams.
