Job summary

VictoriaMetrics is seeking a highly skilled VictoriaMetrics Expert to join the Expertise Center in a fully remote contract role. You will dive into complex customer issues, reproduce them in sandbox environments, and work with the development team to drive fixes.

You will build internal tooling (Go is a major plus), develop internal monitoring, dashboards, runbooks, and guides, and perform root‑cause analysis to support enterprise clients and product improvements in a fast‑growing observability

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in a senior technical position (Software Developer, SRE, Performance Engineer, or Systems Engineer).
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience with Go is a plus; deep knowledge of scripting languages is beneficial.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes (K8s) and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Take deep dives into complex customer issues and reproduce them in sandbox environments (under load).
• Collaborate with development to resolve identified problems.
• Create internal tooling to improve observability and automation (Go is a major plus).
• Develop internal monitoring, runbooks, dashboards, and guides.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive long‑term solutions with artifacts (docs/runbooks).
• Build and maintain internal knowledge base and cross‑team collaboration for product improvements.
• Participate in critical incident resolution with rapid mitigation and post‑mortem analysis.
