Job summary

VictoriaMetrics, a fast-growing time-series database and observability company, seeks a Senior Solution Engineer who thrives in the terminal. You will bridge our Enterprise observability platform with large Linux-based infrastructures, driving complex engagements and hands-on instrumenting workloads.

You’ll partner with Sales and Development to craft high-performance deployments (Kubernetes, VMs, bare metal) and create authoritative technical content for customers and the engineering community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Pre-Sales, SRE, DevOps, or Systems Eng roles.
• Expertise with Linux performance tooling (top, strace, tcpdump, vmstat).
• Deep understanding of Logs, Metrics, Traces and MTTR.
• Ability to diagnose missing metrics, high-cardinality churn, slow queries, and alert failures.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery for largest accounts with Enterprise Sales.
• Analyze customer footprint (On-prem, Cloud, Hybrid) to design high-performance architectures.
• Demonstrate advanced observability use cases and run complex POCs with Linux agents or OpenTelemetry collectors.
• Collaborate with Development, Support, and Product teams to translate requirements into specs.
