Job summary

Kong Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer focused on Managed Gateways to own reliability of a multi-cloud SaaS platform.

You will lead a team, design scalable cloud-native systems with Kubernetes, Golang, and cloud providers, drive automation and SLOs, and partner with Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success to ensure successful enterprise deployments.

Qualifications

• Extensive SRE experience with highly available distributed systems.
• Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Proficiency in Golang for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SREs dedicated to Kong's Managed Gateways.
• Architect and implement scalable cloud-native systems.
• Own end-to-end operational lifecycle and incident response.
• Define and report SLOs/SLIs for reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Eng, and Customer Success on roadmaps.
• Drive automation and self-service tooling.
