Job summary

Kong Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for Managed Gateways. You will architect and maintain scalable, resilient cloud-native systems and lead a high-performing SRE team, ensuring reliability for enterprise customers across NA. 

You will own monitoring, incident response, and post-mortems while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to enable rapid feature rollout and improved operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Extensive SRE experience with highly available, distributed systems.
• Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures across multiple clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong Golang or similar language for automation and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of SREs for Kong's Managed Gateways.
• Architect, implement scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native systems.
• Own end-to-end operational lifecycle: monitoring, incident response, post-mortems.
