Job summary

Kong Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for Managed Gateways in Washington. You will own production reliability for a cloud-native platform spanning AWS, GCP, and Azure, leading a high-performing SRE team and shaping the enterprise deployment experience.

You will architect scalable systems, automate with Golang and IaC, and drive incident readiness with blameless post-mortems. Collaboration with product and customer success ensures robust onboarding and ongoing platform

Qualifications

Extensive experience as a Site Reliability Engineer focused on reliability of distributed systems.
Deep expertise with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures across multiple public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Strong proficiency in Golang or similar languages for automation and tools.
Proven track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
In-depth knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

Responsibilities

Own production reliability for the Managed Gateways platform across multiple clouds.
Lead and mentor a high-performing SRE team.
Architect scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native systems.
Define and track SLOs/SLIs; drive incident response and blameless post-mortems.
Collaborate with Product, Eng, and Customer Success on roadmap readiness and onboarding patterns.
