Job summary

Glean seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of our production services in a hybrid Mountain View environment. In this hands-on role, you will design, build, and operate resilient cloud infrastructure, improve SLOs, and guide blameless incident learning.

You will automate deployment, monitoring, and on-call workflows, and work with security engineers to uphold best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in a senior-level Site Reliability Engineering role.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years leading distributed cloud projects.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Terraform experience.
• Solid networking and security fundamentals for SRE.
• Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
• Ensure high availability of resilient cloud architectures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and blameless postmortems.
• Develop automation scripts, tooling, and deployment/monitoring processes.
• Optimize performance, capacity, and cost of cloud services.
• Collaborate on security and compliance with security engineers.
• Design and configure advanced monitoring and dashboards for production.
• Engage in the software development lifecycle and system design reviews.
