Job summary

MiniMed Distribution Corp. is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability, scale, and performance of a global AWS-based healthcare platform. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, HITRUST standards, and cybersecurity, with a focus on automated, self-healing environments.

You will collaborate with Core Engineering to develop cloud-native microservices and CI/CD guardrails, ensuring 24x7 availability and secure data handling for life-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years in relevant roles.
• Experience operating platforms within a regulated healthcare environment (HIPAA, SOC2, FDA) is preferred.
• Strong AWS architecture and security posture for cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, scale, and maintain highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Champion automation and infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, GitOps).
• Build telemetry and observability using NewRelic, CloudWatch, and OpenSearch.
• Lead incident responses and postmortems with RCA to drive remediation.
• Ensure data security and compliance audits for PHI-containing stores.
