Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Engineer II for NG-SIEM EPICS, joining a high-ownership, cross-functional team in a hybrid Austin role. You will own end-to-end reliability and scalability of the platform, building observability, automation, and scaling systems across ingest, search, and workflow execution.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to triage incidents, drive capacity planning, and improve efficiency while operating in a 2-3x weekly Austin office cadence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software or platform engineering experience.
• Proficient in Go, Java, Rust or C++ and Python or Bash.
• Deep observability, SLIs/SLOs, and dashboards experience.
• Incidents spanning multi-component systems across 24/7 ops.
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD familiarity.
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration.
• Ability to balance delivery with long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain observability across the NG-SIEM pipeline.
• Engineer scalable resources to avoid bottlenecks and failures.
• Lead platform-wide incident response and on-call coordination.
• Develop capacity forecasting models and cost visibility.
• Automate remediation workflows and scaling strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability.
• Drive platform improvements for long-term resilience.
