ASCENDING is seeking a mid-level Staff SRE/Cloud SME to drive rearchitecting a large monolith into a cloud-native microservices platform. You will work across Azure and AWS with Kubernetes at the core, and mentor engineers in DevOps practices. This 100% remote, long-term contract requires U.S.

citizenship and the ability to work from within the continental United States. You will evaluate tools, design resilient networks, and implement monitoring, logging, and security to ensure scalable,

Qualificações

• Cloud platforms: 7+ years across AWS and Azure.
• Experience rearchitecting monoliths to cloud-native architectures.
• Kubernetes with AKS and EKS, plus cloud networking and Terraform.
• Security knowledge for containers and Kubernetes clusters.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Software Eng.

Responsabilidades

• Lead rearchitecting efforts from monolith to microservices on cloud-native platform.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Product using DDD principles.
• Evaluate tools/frameworks and provide cloud-service recommendations.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for system health and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps practices across SDLC.
