Job summary

Devopsroles client is seeking a Senior SRE to join their Cloud Infrastructure team. This role is 100% remote within the continental US and long-term contract (3+ years).

You will help build and operate a cloud platform that supports the organization, with strong focus on AWS, Azure, and Terraform-based IaC. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in automated cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and on-call experience, plus expertise in cloud networking and deployment automation.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Strong experience with AWS or Azure cloud as a cloud/DevOps engineer.
• Hands-on Terraform experience in a heavy IaC environment.
• FedRAMP experience is a plus.
• 8+ years building automated cloud infrastructure.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and operate IaaS and PaaS in AWS and Azure clouds.
• Engineer deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling.
• Own reliability of non-prod and production delivery environments.
• Use Kubernetes for container orchestration to ensure scalability and HA.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for performance and availability.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Support software/cloud infra in on-call rotation when needed.
